Description
The Panasonic AK-HC5000 HD Broadcast Studio Camera with LEMO CCU Connector is a professional, multi-format camera that captures HD and SD video using three 2/3″ MOS sensors. It features a B4 mount, which allows you to use virtually any 2/3″ format ENG lens. The camera can capture at NTSC or PAL broadcast compatible frame rates. The camera is designed for studio work and does not incorporate a recorder, instead outputting via 3G-SDI outputs or the fiber optic connection. It can also be used in a hand held configuration while retaining the same output capabilities. It captures images at up to 59.94 fps, and features a hi-speed mode that allows you to capture at 239.76 or 200 fps depending on what signal format you are shooting.
The Panasonic AK-HC5000 HD Broadcast Studio Camera is equipped with newly developed 2/3-type MOS sensors that produce high sensitivity and an excellent S/N ratio. While including functions appreciated in the conventional model such as DRS and CineGamma, the AK-HC5000 Series adds new features such as focus assist, flash band compensation, and skew reduction which is realized through high-speed readout from the MOS sensors. There are additional functions to improve shooting experience; including enhanced shock less gain (-3 dB to 36 dB), a user gamma function, black gamma correction according to the pedestal setting, multi-step DNR, and easy matrix adjustment.
The Full System
The AK-HC5000 delivers excellent image quality and operability. When used with the AK-UCU500 Camera Control Unit, it is capable of 1080/60p, 240p image output and high-image-quality uncompressed long-distance transmission as well as a Hybrid Log Gamma (HLG) output option simultaneous with standard gamma for live HDR (High Dynamic Range) production. Also available to use alongside this product is the AK-HRP1000/AK-HRP1005 Remote Operation Panel, equipped with a color LCD to provide visibility of the display for smooth control. The camera and camera control unit can be connected for an approximately 2,000-meter long-distance transmission of video signals when power is supplied from the camera control unit. The remote operation panel and the camera can be connected using a dedicated cable. The AK-HVF100 9 inch LCD color viewfinder has also been newly developed and equipped with a large display and diverse functions such as focus assist. Overall, this system offers superior cost performance with respect to both operability and ease of use.
